About ECO3 — formerly Agfa Offset Solutions
ECO3 is the current prepress company formed from Agfa's former Offset Solutions business. Its portfolio includes printing plates, Avalon CTP, workflow and print-management software, pressroom chemistry and services. The Avalon 8-up family includes C and N thermal models ranging from entry configurations to high-productivity automated systems, while VLF models serve 16- to 40-up requirements. Bay Digital also supports many installed Agfa-branded Avalon environments.

Avalon C8 family — 8-up thermal CTP using fiber-coupled laser diode configurations with performance options from entry to higher-throughput models.

Avalon N8 family — higher-performance 8-up CTP with GLV imaging on selected models and advanced automation options.

8-up productivity — current ECO3 specifications list configurations from roughly 24 plates/hour through high-end models reaching up to about 70 plates/hour, depending on model and plate conditions.

Avalon C vs. N
The C family is positioned around proven thermal imaging and flexible throughput choices, while the N family addresses higher throughput, wider format/automation requirements and GLV-based imaging on selected models.

Automation options
Avalon can scale from manual loading through cassette and pallet automation. Selected high-end configurations can use advanced loaders or custom robotic plate handling for sustained unattended operation.

Image quality and screening
ECO3 positions Avalon with high-resolution thermal imaging and Sublima screening support on appropriate configurations. Exact capabilities depend on the selected engine, plate and workflow.
